Strawberry Cultivation

To spur local economy amidst the health crisis, the city government will establish mini greenhouses for strawberry cultivation to improve production of strawberries in an urban setting.

Through the Sangguniang Kabataan of Baguio City, the youth sector will be involved in urban strawberry farming.

These greenhouses will be located in six barangays and will also serve as learning sites on urban strawberry cultivation for the youth.

Adopting Japanese technology-based urban strawberry cultivation, the expected yield will be a minimum of 7.2 MT of strawberries, which will add to the annual production of the city.
