Navotas offers drive-thru Easytrip RFID installation

LGUs can help in installing RFID stickers to further control the spread of COVID-19 among motorists.

The City Government of Navotas, in partnership with Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), is offering a drive-thru installation of Easytrip RFID stickers on November 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  at the Navotas Bus Terminal.

Some 500 stickers for Class 1 vehicles and 25 each for Classes 2 and 3 will be available to applicants on a first come, first serve basis.

The Easytrip RFID allows cashless and contactless toll transaction for motorists passing through NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, CALAX and C5 Link Expressway.  The RFID system is implemented to further control the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country.

Interested parties must download and fill out the Easytrip Subscription Form, and submit the same to Easytrip personnel at the venue. Applicants for Class 1 vehicles must pay P500 for the initial load.

On the other hand, drivers of Classes 2 and 3 vehicles must secure a P1,000 initial load. They also need to attach a photocopy of the official receipt/certificate of registration (ORCR) of their vehicle and an authorization letter from the owner.

To be able to accommodate those who will avail of the drive-thru services and ensure the safety of applicants, the southbound lane of C4 and R10--from the Navotas Bus Terminal to the Old Fishport Road--will be closed on the abovementioned date from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

Applicants are advised to wear face mask and stay inside their vehicle during the RFID installation process, bring an exact amount for load payment, and use their own pen.

Those who scarcely pass through the expressways can have their RFID stickers installed on the day of their travel to give way to those who frequently use it.
